The first Titanfall 2 trailer was released this morning, and less than a second of footage is sending fans of the original into a frenzy.
Though the original game received generally positive reviews, there were a startlingly large number of fans who felt let down (again) by EA in this Xbox exclusive. The pay-walls, supposed lack of weapon diversity, and lack of single player campaign proved too much for some players who swore against the title. So have EA finally done the unthinkable and listened to player feedback? The new trailer and surrounding chatter seem to indicate so.
The trailer ends abruptly with a mech slamming a sword into the ground – so that’s a new thing, we have swords now. Meanwhile, developers Respawn have been tooting for some time now that the sequel will provide a single player campaign mode. While we haven’t heard much about the possibilities of pay-walls, the trailer teases a worldwide reveal on 12th June – EA’s event at E3. The sequel will also be available across platforms, with PS4 being added to the previous lineup of Xbox One and PC.
