In a post on Steam, FNaF creator Scott Cawthorn recently announced that his famed PC title will be making its way to consoles, though probably not for a while.
The indie survival horror franchise was met with great critical acclaim, especially with its uptake by notable YouTube gamers. Since then, it’s spawned a number of sequels and an ill fated spin off RPG. However now Cawthorn has revealed that he is currently in partnership with a number of port companies who seek to bring FNaF to home consoles.
Cawthorn responded to user MrCafecito’s question “Any chance one of your games may get ported to consoles?” with the statement, “Actually, yes! It will happen. I’m talking with a few companies who are interested in doing console remakes of the original games. :)”.
The port’s arrival is not expected before 2017, due to Cawthorn’s later hints that the Wii U wouldn’t be around at his game’s release, though that might have been pure sass.
