Introducing Decay of Logos

In my Twitter browsings, I came across this interview from OnlySP with the development team behind an upcoming Unity adventure title. It grabbed me, and on closer inspection decided the game deserves a mention here on Musings.

Decay of Logos is currently in development by Amplify Creations, after beginning life as a personal project of Andre Constantino. The vibrant orange hues of the landscapes are a classic Unity vibe evoking memories of Firewatch, and the lighting and assets described in the team’s dev blog make this exploration adventure look set to live up to the same hype.

Though fairly unknown at this stage, Decay of Logos’ visual sophistication and serenity can’t go unnoticed for long. The game tells the story of a single girl and her Elk companion as they journey across the world seeking revenge after the girl’s village is destroyed by one of the King’s sons. So far, devs have boasted an exploratory, high fantasy adventure with close focus on combat and resource management. Apparently drawing inspiration from European folklore and the work of JRR Tolkien, the storyline has vast potential to live up to the dynamism of its development team.

With a collective dev repertoire boasting individuals who worked on titles such as Brink, League of Legends, Rust, and R3, Amplify Creations look like they have everything in hand and are well on their way to creating one of 2017’s top Indie titles. So far, a mid-2017 release date has been penciled in, with the title set to release on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, and PS4.

  1. Nice post! I’ve never heard of this game, but it seems really interesting. I’ll have to look into it more.
