Every PS4 Pro Title To Be Optimised For Launch Day

PlayStation are pumping out optimisations ahead of the release of its ‘most powerful games console ever’ on Thursday 10th November. In a recent blog post, Sony outlined details of each game that will be patched up for PS4 Pro by the time your order arrives at your door. Some of the titles in the list are obvious guesses, taking advantage of recent releases as well as fan favourites to gain traction. A few lesser known titles are also on board to accompany the massive releases and provide some more niche fan groups a well deserved grin.

The main players include:

Virtual reality titles are also obviously up for the job, with most of them gearing up for the PS4 Pro from early development stages. It’s perhaps in these VR titles that we’ll see these optimisations come to life fully. The console has, partly, been created to complement PlayStation’s VR efforts and will become all the more important to an immersive PS VR experience as developments continue to evolve. Currently, the line up includes:

  • DriveClub VR
  • Bound
  • PlayStation VR Worlds
  • RIGS Mechanised Combat League
  • Robinson: The Journey
  • The Playroom VR
  • Thumper
  • Until Dawn: Rush of Blood

We also have a surprising number of smaller titles that haven’t seen the marketing or price tags of the larger releases. Nestled among some indie titles and small ports are a couple of gems that will delight their following in their surprise optimisations. We have:

  • Firewatch
  • Helldivers
  • Knack
  • Mantis Burn Racing
  • Neon Chrome
  • Paragon
  • Super Stardust Ultra
  • Viking Squad
  • Wheels of Aurelia

There are even a handful of free to play titles in there, so there’s never been a better time than now to devote a few hours to checking out the experiences at your disposal for absolutely no cost:

  • Hustle Kings
  • Smite
  • World of Tanks

PlayStation have also promised a further 45 games optimised by the end of the year including Watch Dogs 2, Killing Floor 2, The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy XV. This continues into the new year with 2017 bringing in Resident Evil 7 optimisation as well as Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone. After this every first party release will be stamped as PS4 Pro optimised.
